Urban contemporary gospel collective CT Praise have earned a nod in this year’s 3Music Awards ahead of the presentation ceremony later this year on September 28th at The Palm Convention Centre, Accra.
The sensational group is up for the “Group of the Year” award, competing against notable names in the Ghanaian music industry such as the gospel band Team Eternity GH, as well as renowned groups like DopeNation, FRA!, and Keche. This nomination underscores CT Praise’s growing influence in the gospel music scene and highlights their dedication to spreading the message of faith through modern musical expressions.

CT Praise are the urban contemporary praise and worship ministry of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East, Teshie, led by Pastor Edwin Dadson, Pastor Ella Somuah and Sandra Huson-Kelly. Their music style is deeply rooted in urban contemporary gospel, infused with African melodies and influences, creating a sound that is distinctly Ghanaian yet resonant with audiences worldwide.
Known for their dynamic performances and innovative approach to gospel music, CT Praise have steadily risen to prominence with a unique sound that seamlessly blends traditional gospel with contemporary beats.
In April 2023, CT Praise released their debut album, The Encounter, a powerful 16-track collection that showcases the group’s musical versatility and deep spiritual roots. The album offers a rich blend of worship and praise songs, each crafted to uplift and inspire listeners. Standout tracks include “Lala,” a vibrant anthem of joy, “Gathering,” which calls believers to unite in worship, and “All Power Belongs to God,” a declaration of God’s sovereignty. 3Music awards, launched in 2018, is acclaimed as one of the awards platform honouring the Ghanaian musicians. The 2024 edition will see its return after a year-long pause, with organisers noting that the show’s return aligns with a renewed commitment to “showcase the best in music and amplify the voices of our artists creating an inclusive and unforgettable experience.”
