British- Nigerian designer, Ebele Ojechi has unveiled a remarkable collection in collaboration with football club, Chelsea FC. The collection, with the name “For The Glory” is a capsule sportswear inspired by Chelsea’s 90s kits and traditional Igbo fashion.

Ebele Ojechi was among 5 winners for the second year of the Blue Creator Fund, by Chelsea Football Club, Chelsea Foundation, and VERSUS to establish a shared ambition to diversify football off the pitch.

“For the Glory” is a capsule sportswear collection weaving cultural elements from across Chelsea’s history with a connection to a significant Nigerian fanbase. Inspired by archival Chelsea kits and traditional Igbo attire, Ebele integrates the heritage of Chelsea, the players, and supporters through a blend of prints, colours, materials, and silhouettes.

The clothing line as part of the exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, pays tribute to Chelsea’s deep ties with Nigeria — the club’s biggest fanbase outside of England.
