Months after taking the music airwaves by storm with his globe-spanning track ‘Joy Is Coming,’ Nigerian afrobeats singer and songwriter Fido has released its official video.
The singer returned with the nicely-shot and edited video on Wednesday [May 14] after the song’s initial release in December 2024.
Directed by Filmboi known for his work with Rema and many more Afrobeats acts, the music video is nothing short of the song’s existing themes showing people dancing, having a good time and celebrating the certainty of incoming joy. With this music video, fans and viewers will be introduced to a brand new Fido, never before seen in this capacity.
Filmed in the vibrant streets of Lagos, showcases dazzling choreography and vivid visuals that amplify the track’s message of hope, resilience, and celebration. Fido’s charismatic presence shines as he navigates scenes of triumph and transformation, with dancers and colourful settings reflecting the song’s promise of brighter days.
Speaking on the release of the music video, Fido said,
