Singer and songwriter Ciara looked stunning at the 2025 Met Gala as she attended the 2025 Met Gala in a partially sheer black and silver LaQuan Smith gown.
Longside her NFL star husband Russell Wilson, the singer walked in the blue carpet.

Ciara in 2022 when she wore a gown boasting over 300,000 sequins made her last Met Gala appearance.
The 39-year-old star brought her signature glam to the red carpet in a black and silver gown by LaQuan Smith. The ensemble consisted of strings of crystals that hung across the center of the bodice and down the sides of her legs. The rest of the gown was a structured black satin and featured a train.
The singer added black pumps and wore her short blonde hair in a sleek style.
Ciara attended the event with her husband, Russell Wilson, who opted for a black tuxedo and a black coat draped over his shoulders. The Giants quarterback’s topped off the look with a crystal brooch, a cane and sunglasses.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Smith noted that art deco design also served as a reference point for Ciara’s look. “I’ve always been inspired by the essence of Harlem Renaissance and this jazzy era,”
“For me, sharp tailoring and an exaggerated shoulder is what I’ve always been incorporating in my collections,” the designer added. “I love the ’80s as well, and the fearlessness of Josephine Baker, so I think that you’re going to be able to get some of the essence of all of those notes through the design.”
Smith, who also dressed Halle Berry for her return to the Met Gala after a seven-year hiatus, revealed that their combined looks took three months and over 2,000 hours to bring to life.
The designer also partnered with Samsung Galaxy ahead of the Met Gala and used the brand’s AI Atelier to bring the singer’s look from a sketch to a final product. The technology, which Smith said serves as his “personal assistant,” allowed him to simplify communication between him, his muses and collaborators.
“For me, it’s always about pushing the boundaries with fashion and technology. The AI feature is such a great tool for me to explore futuristic concepts on a digital scale,” Smith said of the AI Atelier.
“It comes down to my silhouettes, my textures and how I can make my world a lot easier with fittings and scheduling. I’m really allowing myself to be forward-thinking,” Smith continued. “The AI feature is a great way to help with the world in which I live in.”
