Angelique Kidjo Announces ‘Joy’ Single With Davido

Multiple-time Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter Angelique Kidjo has announced a new single dubbed ‘Joy’.

The Beninsese superstar announced the forthcoming song through a statement on her official X platform.

Scheduled to arrive on Friday the 30th of August 2024, the much-anticipated Shizy-produced record features Nigerian Afrobeats singer and 30 BG boss Davido.

Hinting at the forthcoming record, Kidjo hoped it could bring the world together for a moment of joy. According to her, no one would have done better on the project than the 30 BG boss.

She wrote on her platform “This song JOY is who I am!Coming out this Friday, thank you @davido for bringing your LIGHT!  No one could have done it better. We hope this song can bring the world together for a moment of JOY!”

The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker also expressed how honoured he felt working with Kidjo. He wrote to X:
