Erykah Badu Announces Dates For 25th Anniversary ‘Mama’s Gun’ Fall 2025 U.S. Tour

By

Erykah Badu is feeling joyous. The singer revealed a set of fall 2025 U.S. dates on Monday, 28 July, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of her sophomore album, Mama’s Gun, released in 2000.

Beginning on October 3 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Mama’s Gun ’25: The Return of Automatic Slim will tour to Las Vegas, Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Nashville before concluding on December 10 with a performance in her hometown of Dallas at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. local time, tickets for the 16-date run of performances in honour of the LP, which features some of her most cherished songs, such as the Grammy-nominated songs “Bag Lady” and “Didn’t Cha Know?,” as well as “Cleva,” “… & On,” and “Booty,” will go on sale via a Live Nation pre-sale for select dates (using the promo code LIGHTS). At 10 a.m. local time on Friday, August 1, there will be a public on-sale.

Mama’s Gun was the sequel to Badu’s seminal neo-soul debut album, Baduizm, released in 1997. In promotion of their upcoming collaborative record, which has not yet been set for release, Badu will join The Alchemist on the Abi & Alan tour before heading out on the road in the autumn. The joint tour is scheduled to begin on August 8 in Seattle at the Showbox SODO and conclude on August 24 at the Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre in Austin, Texas. That LP will be her first release since 2010’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh).
