Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Black Sherif has been nominated for ‘Best International Act’ at Bet Awards 2025.
The prestigious nomination comes after the release of his critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘Iron Boy’ and successful North American tour.
Black Sherif had earlier been nominated for ‘Best International Flow’ at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop awards.

His contenders include Tyla (South Africa), Rema and Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Any Gabrielly and MC Luanna (Brazil), Basky and Ezra Collective (UK), Uncle Waffles (Eswatini), Joé Dwèt Filé and SDM (France).
The Empire act’s nomination is historic as he is the first ever Ghanaian act to be recognized in the competitive category since its rebranding in 2018.
Scheduled to take place on June 9 at 8 PM ET/PT, this year’s edition celebrating the scheme’s 25th anniversary will be broadcasted live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
