Grammy-Nominated artist Davido has disclosed that he and his chef wife are breaking from childbearing to allow her focus on her business plans.

In a recent episode of Ride Along With Darryl, Davido revealed that his wife deserves time to pay attention to her career and business endeavours after having three children.

“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,” Davido said.

After welcoming twins in 2023 after the sudden passing of their first son Ifeanyi, the couple are now shifting their focus to Chioma’s business ambitions and plans.  The singer added that Chioma is spending more time abroad as she prepares to launch her spices line, with plans to introduce the products to major stores worldwide, including in both Africa and the diaspora.

Chioma is also eyeing the opening of a restaurant, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting entrepreneurial journey. According to Davido, Chioma’s food is “amazing,” and the couple is eager to see her spices line become a global success.
