Rapper Sarkodie is in a deep shock following the demise of Highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

The rapper has paid his tribute to the immediate deceased in a series of social media posts. Daddy Lumba passed on Saturday, July 26 after rumours of his passing went viral in the early hours of that day.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Sarkodie said he had no words to express his feelings in the early hours of Saturday before the news of Lumba’s demise was confirmed by his family.

Sending his condolences to the family, he wrote ”Only if I had the words to express how l’ve been feeling since early this morning but I don’t … we will all go back to the maker one day but sometimes it’s hard to even entertain the thought when it involves people close to your heart .. RIP DL !!! Thanks for all you’ve done for us … The legacy lives on … condolences to the family I pray for strength.”

Thanking the late icon for his contributions and impact to the industry, he prayed for strength for his family in these difficult times.
