The torch-bearers of Afrobeats and A-Pop in Rema and Tyla have been confirmed to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Los Angeles on the 12th of June. The World Cup, which occurs every four years, will take place this year in Mexico, the USA, and Canada.
