Spotify has officially launched its AI Playlist feature in Ghana. The tool, which was first introduced in beta last year, is now available to Premium users in over 40 markets including parts of Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and Africa.
AI Playlist gives users the ability to create custom playlists using simple text prompts. Whether you type in “Afrobeats for a late-night drive” or “songs to relax after work,” Spotify’s AI will generate a playlist that fits your request. Users can also fine-tune the results by asking for specific adjustments like “more energetic,” “include new releases,” or “make it happier.”
The feature is easy to use. Just head to the search tab in the Spotify app, type in “AI Playlist,” and choose a suggested prompt or enter your own. It works best when you include genres, moods, or artists, but more playful ideas like favourite animals, activities, or emojis also deliver interesting results.

Spotify says millions of playlists have already been created since the initial rollout. The goal is to make music discovery more intuitive, helping users explore new artists and songs in a way that feels natural and personal.
Ghanaian music fans can now use AI Playlist to create tailored soundtracks for everything from daily commutes to gym sessions, using prompts that reflect their preferences and lifestyles.
