The 2026 11th edition of the Music Is My Life Concert has officially solidified its reputation as more than just a show; it is a full-scale cultural movement.
Returning to its spiritual home at Big Base Pub in Tema Community 2, the concert saw over 10,000 music enthusiasts converge for a night of raw intensity and celebration. Despite the heat and the grueling hours of an all-night outdoor event, the crowd remained united by an unwavering love for music.

Mubarak Nkrumah (K9), CEO of Mimlife Records, had previously promised a “first-of-its-kind” experience, and the artists delivered on that promise. The night served as both a showcase for A-list legends and a critical launchpad for emerging talent.
Lasmid captured the hearts of the audience with a soulful rendition of his smash hit “Olivia,” leading a massive crowd sing-along. In a surprise turn, Sister Deborah thrilled the audience with a stellar performance of her iconic hit, “Africa Madonna.”
In a night dominated by heavyweights, Sista Afia arguably delivered the most commanding performance of the evening. She brought an electrifying energy to the stage, proving her status as one of Ghana’s elite female performers with a seamless run of chart-topping hits.
Mimlife Records’ own Kimilist and Mista Myles demonstrated why they are forces to be reckoned with. Kimilist dominated the stage with raw street energy and expert crowd control, while Mista Myles showcased a polished, confident stage presence that highlighted his artistic evolution.
Kweku Smoke further cemented his status as a master of the craft, delivering a jaw-dropping, hit-packed spectacle that left the audience in awe. Meanwhile, the Asakaa Boys, represented by Jay Bahd, Reggie, Kwaku DMC, and Skyface SDW, transported the gritty energy of Kumerica drill straight to the heart of Tema.

The return of Sarkodie to the Music Is My Life mainstage was a moment of pure iconicity. Exceeding every expectation, the rap legend took fans on a journey through his discography, culminating in a viral Azonto dance that sent the 10,000-strong crowd into a total frenzy.

As dawn broke around 5:00 am, global superstar King Promise made a surprise appearance. Despite the late hour, his high-energy set of global hits revitalized the remaining crowd, bringing the night to a triumphant close.
Reflecting on the night’s success, Eric Asmah, General Manager of Mimlife Records, stated: “We are extremely excited to have provided the Tema community with a show of this magnitude. The overwhelming support drives us, and we promise an even bigger and more innovative approach for next year.”
Since its inception, Mimlife Records has grown into a respected powerhouse in the industry. Beyond music production, the label’s commitment to community impact through landmark live events ensures that the Music Is My Life Concert remains a defining pillar of Ghanaian music culture.
