A historic second in the city of Kumasi, Ashanti Region, the iconic event, Rapperholic dubbed ‘The Homecoming’ will be held on the 27th of September at the BABA YARA sports stadium.
Rapperholic is an annual concert series organized by the renowned African rapper, Sarkodie. The concert, which is always held on December 25 every year, is highly anticipated by fans and showcases Sarkodie’s music and performances alongside other top-rated artists.


RAPPERHOLIC – THE BIRTH
In 2012, Sarkodie released an album titled “Rapperholic”. The album featured 18 songs, and it is one of the artist’s significant works in his discography. To promote this album, he organised his first Rapperholic in December 2012. Fast forward, Rapperholic is more than a decade old, and a major show on the ‘December in Ghana’ calendar.
Rapperholic is not only an album but also a brand associated with his music and concert series.
OTUMFUOR’S INTEREST
As Rapperholic shifts to Kumasi, the King of the land, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, indicated that he would be open to attending Sarkodie’s function.
The King stated that he would be happy to see the event in person during a courtesy call that Sarkodie and his management team made at the Manhyia Palace on Friday, July 18, 2025.
