American Hip-hop due Outkast has been inducted into the decorated and high-profile Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced the 2025 Inductees on Sunday the 27th of April. The class was revealed live by Ryan Seacrest on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of American Idol. Appearing on the ballot for the first time, Outkast earned the honor. Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden and The White Stripes are among the newly unveiled inductees.
Other acts who will receive awards at this year’s ceremony include Salt N Peppa, who will be honored with the Musical Influence award along with Warren Zevon. Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye will be recognized with the Musical Excellence Award, while Lenny Waronker will be the sole recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Celebrating the big news, Big Boi and Andre 3000, celebrated the news with a graphic they shared on the group’s X account. The clip is scored by the duo’s single “ATLiens” and features photos of the rappers along with the message “Thank you.”
