Thanks to a ground-breaking halftime spectacle that changed football stadium performances, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain at MetLife Stadium became more than just a match between elite football teams.
Chris Martin of Global Citizen and Coldplay orchestrated the 15-minute musical celebration, which included international superstars Tems, J Balvin, and Doja Cat.

J Balvin set the mood with a powerful performance of “Mi Gente,” accompanied by throbbing drums and a swarm of dancers. With “Love Me JeJe,” Tems captivated the audience with emotional depth before dancers joined to intensify the beat. Doja Cat made use of every square inch of the multi-tiered platform that towered over the stadium stands during her ferocious performance of “Woman.”
Coldplay made an unexpected appearance and sang “A Sky Full of Stars” alongside Australian vocalist Emmanuel Kelly, which sent the audience into a frenzy. When all of the performers came back together on stage for the finale, it was a potent, inclusive moment that exuded purpose and unity.
The Club World Cup finale had a purpose: to raise $100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports global education.
“I’m proud to represent America on this stage and support education access worldwide,” Doja Cat said.
