Ahead of this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards [TGMAs], afrobeat and afro-pop superstar King Promise has shared what winning the prestigious ‘Artist of The Year’ award will mean to him and his brand.
Promise spoke on the forthcoming ceremony- Ghana’s decorated award scheme when he appeared in a recent interview with Youtuber Kwadwo Sheldon in the United States.
Scheduled to come off on the 10th of May, this year’s edition of the TGMAs will be held at the Grand Arena in Accra. Afro-dancehall pioneer Stonebwoy, King Promise, King Paluta, are the main contenders as they have hired PRs to pitch them for the golden prize.
Speaking in the interview, the Legacy Line Entertainment act said it will be an honour for him to be crowned Artist of the Year at the event.
According to him, he ”will be more inspired knowing my people are betting on me and I will also let them know they can count on me to take them to the world.”
