Ghanaian afrobeats and Afropop superstar King Promise is bringing the heat to the opening night of the 2025 Basketball Africa League [BAL] in Kigali, Rwanda.
BAL announced the singer as a headlining act for the forthcoming Halftime Show through a post on their official X account, building anticipation for this year’s tournament.
Scheduled to come off on Saturday the 17th of May, the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker will be taking center stage at Kigali’s BK Arena to treat patrons with a spectacular and show-stopping performance.
King Promise is already in Rwanda for his much-anticipated show. He touched down the country for the gig days after make history at the 26th TGMA, where he beat Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Kweku Smoke, etc to be crowned the overall ‘Artist Of The Year.’
Speaking in an interview with The New Times, the Ghanaian superstar expressed how excited he is to be in the country for the second time.
He shared what fans and patrons should be expecting from him on Saturday, promising them a 5 star performance. Promise’s slated Halftime Show testifies to his growing global reach and audience appeal.
Meanwhile, the 2025 Basketball Africal League will take place across multiple locations across Africa including BK Arena, Kigali, Rwanda, Salle Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, Morocco, Dakar Arena in Dakar, Senegal and Sunbet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa.
The 2025 BAL season will feature a record six time participants, including teams from Cape Verde and Narobi, Kenya.
