A Slovakian music festival was cancelled due to criticism from fans and other artists regarding Kanye West’s planned appearance, placing him in the centre of controversy once more.

Although West rarely responds directly to media reports, his team recently responded to criticism of his performance in Shanghai on July 12.

To dispel rumours, they issued a formal statement in which they acknowledged technical issues during the performance and refuted accusations that West arrived late.

“The concert was originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, but due to on-site equipment issues, troubleshooting and adjustments continued until 8:00 PM and still failed to reach optimal condition. Out of respect for the audience’s passion and anticipation, Ye made the decision to go on stage and perform despite the imperfect setup. Therefore, claims of Ye being late are entirely untrue.”

Ye pinned a message to his fans saying:

“I love China. I love my Chinese fans. Your support is my greatest motivation. I promise to return your trust and love with even more perfect performances in the future!”

Despite the ongoing turmoil surrounding him, Kanye West and his staff appear to have an answer for everything.
