Over the years, Jennifer Hudson has paid homage to her idol Whitney Houston in a number of ways, including memorable performances of “Queen of the Night,” “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” and more.

When the EGOT-winning singer performed at the annual Legacy of Love Gala held in honour of the late pop great on Saturday, August 9, at Atlanta’s St. Regis Hotel, she added a number of other Houston favourites to her repertoire.

This year’s celebrations, which took place on what would have been Whitney’s 62nd birthday, also celebrated the diva’s 40 years in music and entertainment since the release of her self-titled debut album in 1985.

Hudson sang a medley of songs from the album, including “How Will I Know” and “Saving All My Love for You,” the latter of which was caught on camera by guests.
