Kelvin Fiifi Bani known in the media space as “Bani Wxrld” is a creative director who grew up in Tema, Ghana, where the streets are alive with music and the energy of people creating, building and imagining. He started out rapping but it wasn’t long before the camera found him. Filmmaking became a new way to tell stories, a medium that could carry the ideas he felt running in his head into the world.

Kelvin calls himself Bani Wxrld. “Bani” being his family name whilst “Wxrld,” spelled with an x, is his own unique way of telling people this is his world. When he left behind his nine-to-five job to focus on becoming a full time filmmaker, it was simply because he knew that to create something meaningful, he had to give himself fully to one craft.

His work carries a distinct energy which he describes as dark, crazy and new. When the pace of life grows overwhelming and feels disconnected, he seeks stillness in God, finding the quiet that allows ideas to breathe and take shape. Faith and reflection are the constants that keep him grounded in a career defined by movement and change.

Bani draws inspiration from those who refuse to compromise. Artists like Kendrick Lamar, Dave Free, Tyler the Creator, Virgil Abloh, Rick Owens taught him that originality isn’t optional, it’s essential. That philosophy runs through every project he touches, from filmmaking to music to creative direction.

Bani Wxrld has evolved from being just a filmmaker over the years. Lately he’s more of more a creative director, event producer, and A&R. He directed the Revival Concert, one of Ghana’s biggest shows, and quietly worked on nearly six albums over the past two years as an A&R. As part of the team for this year’s Revival Concert, he hints it will feel more like a cinematic experience than a live event, a testament to the way he blurs mediums.
His style mirrors his work, deliberate, confident, and understated. Rick Owens silhouettes, and PUMA sneakers are choices that reflect intention rather than trend. Travel shapes his vision as much as his surroundings. A trip to South Africa opened new creative pathways, while the beaches have always offered him space to think, to reflect and to reset.
Now, Bani leads Purple Child Creations, a platform designed to give the next generation of artists a stage to grow and experiment. It’s a space built for collaboration and creativity, rooted in Ghana but with a global perspective. He has plans for a series of short films set for 2026, which marks as the next chapter in a journey that is still unfolding.
As one of the youngest filmmakers and talent managers shaping Ghana’s creative industry, Bani believes work is everything. The focus, patience, and intentionality he brings to each project are what define him. He doesn’t rush and he doesn’t chase attention.
