Drake has praised his “brother” Morgan Wallen for his ongoing achievements.
In a video posted to his Instagram Stories, he included Morgan Wallen from 2016, discussing his ideal performance lineup. “Hopefully I’m the headliner, I would put Eric Church, Chris Cornell… I would probably put Drake there,” the rapper stated in the video. Drake tweeted, “My brother living his words of manifestation fr.” next to the video.
Even though their music is very different, Drizzy and Wallen have met before. For example, Wallen invited Drake to perform live in Houston just last month as a special guest. The rapper took part in a walkout with Wallen, who has a history of going out with big-name athletes like Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, Travis Kelce, and Peyton Manning, even though he didn’t perform during the concert.
Prior to that, Wallen appeared in Drake’s “You Broke My Heart” music video for the single “For All the Dogs.” In the video, Grace Matthews and Taylor Morris play the rejected lovers who try to escape their ex-girlfriends. Despite their seeming friendship, Wallen and Drizzy have yet to get on the same page. However, Lil Durk is a collaborator with them both.
In recent years, Drake has been honouring several of his fellow musicians. He posted a thank-you note for Sexyy Red on Wednesday, July 30, which featured music from the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s “Real Friends.” During his three days of performances at the Wireless Festival in London, he also gave UK talent a lot of attention and declared with confidence that “no one can out-rap London.”
