The official date of Diddy’s release from prison has been made public.
Diddy’s information was submitted to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Sunday, October 26, and it was revealed that the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment would be released on May 8, 2028. Diddy is already on course to serve 42 months in prison due to the time Puff has already spent behind bars after his arrest in September of 2024.
Diddy was found guilty of two charges of transportation to participate in prostitution in July and was given a 50-month prison sentence on October 3. Puff’s lawyer asked the troubled media magnate to serve his sentence in FCI Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey, “in order to address drug abuse issues and to maximise family visitation and rehabilitative efforts,” according to a story from NBC News earlier this month.
Diddy has been detained for the past 13 months in the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Centre. The Bureau of Prisons will decide where he winds up in the end.
Getting a pardon from President Trump is one of Diddy’s final dreams. Trump hinted at the prospect of granting Diddy a hall pass back in May.
“I’d look at what’s happening,” Trump told the assembled press during a meeting in the Oval Office. “And I haven’t been watching it too closely. Though it is certainly getting a lot of coverage. I haven’t spoken to him in years. He used to really like me a lot. I think when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up.”
“I would certainly look at the facts,” Trump continued. “If I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact.”
However, since then, there have been conflicting reports on whether the POTUS is interested in commuting Diddy’s sentence.
