Nigerian afrobeats superstar Davido has shared the inspiration behind his ’10 Kilo’ via his ‘5IVE’ studio album.
The Grammy-Nominated singer spoke on the record when he sat in for an interview on the ‘Ebrow Show’ via Apple Music.
Speaking in the new interview premiered late April, the DMW boss tagged ’10 Kilo’ his favorite song off his newly released LP.
Sharing the inspiration behind the record, he said ”That’s like a typical Davido record, Afro Carribean R&B. That’s my forte”

Released on the 18th of April, ‘5IVE’ is a follow-up to Davido’s comeback album ‘Timeless’, which arrived in 2024. It features collaborations from top artists including Omah Lay, Musa Keys, Odumodou Blvk, Chris Brown, Becky G, etc.
Following a success release, the singer will be hitting the road for a globe-spanning tour slated for this year.
