American R&B star Chris Brown has broken his silence following his release from UK prison.
On Wednesday [May 21], Brown was granted a $6.7 million bail by a London judge according to Reuters. Per the bail conditions, when not traveling for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX Tour in North American and Europe, which is scheduled to kick off June 8, the singer has to also surrender his passport.
Brown who is yet to enter a plea — was ordered to pay $5.4 million to start, with an additional $1.3 million due in seven days according to the media outlet.

The 2-time Grammy winner had earlier on May 15 been arrested in a hotel in Manchester for an alleged assault that happened at nightclub in February 2023. He was accused of smashing a tequila bottle over the head of a music producer.
Brown is responsible for an “unprovoked attack” with a tequila bottle on music promoter Abraham Diaw according to prosecutors.
Following his arrest, his friend and fellow musician Omololu Akinlolu — whose stage name is HoodyBaby — was also charged Saturday (May 17) with causing grievous bodily harm with intent over the alleged attack on Diaw.
During a London court hearing on Friday (May 16), Brown was initially denied bail. At that hearing, the judge remanded the R&B star into custody, with the singer at the time set to remain behind bars until his next hearing, which would have been June 13, a decision that put his tour — which will also feature Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller — in jeopardy.
His next court date is set for June 20 at Southwark Crown Court in London. That date is currently bookended by two shows: June 19 in Cardiff, U.K., and June 21 in London.
