Beyoncé Reunites With Destiny’s Child During Final Cowboy Carter Show in Las Vegas

Destiny’s Child returned for one unforgettable night.

During the final stop of her Cowboy Carter Tour at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Saturday (July 26), Beyoncé surprised fans by reuniting onstage with former group members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, marking their first performance together in seven years.

‘B—t, ‘Destiny’s Child! Bey left the stage for a moment, then reappeared with Rowland and Williams as their smash song “Independent Women” started playing, shouting to a boisterous audience.

The unexpected reunion happened during the show’s Renaissance part. The trio began a medley of well-known songs with their 2004 single “Lose My Breath,” which they hadn’t played together since Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella headline performances. Before concluding with Destiny Child’s 2001 anthem “Bootylicious,” which they had not played live since their 2013 participation at Beyoncé’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, they sang Beyoncé’s 2022 Renaissance song “Energy.”

Following the performance, Beyoncé posted a picture of herself grinning onstage with Rowland and Williams by her side on Instagram. On their individual Instagram profiles, Rowland and Williams both shared photos from the memorable occasion.

Since their debut in 1997, Destiny’s Child has cemented its status as one of the most successful and influential girl groups in music history. Although the trio officially disbanded in 2006, they reunited for high-profile performances at the 2013 Super Bowl and Beyoncé’s Coachella headlining set in 2018. The group also reunited offstage in 2023, when former members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett shared backstage snapshots from Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.

Destiny’s Child has achieved 10 top 10 successes on the Billboard Hot 100 chart during their chart-topping career, including four No. 1 singles: “Say My Name” (four weeks), “Independent Women, Part I” (eleven weeks), “Bills, Bills, Bills” (one week), and “Bootylicious” (two weeks). The group has four top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, including the No. 1s Survivor (two weeks) and #1s (one week).

Along with Destiny’s Child, Shaboozey and her husband, Jay-Z, made unexpected appearances at Beyoncé’s final Cowboy Carter Tour show on Saturday. Shaboozey joined her for a medley of “Sweet Honey Buckiin’,” “Pure/Honey,” and “Summer Renaissance,” while Jay-Z performed “N—s in Paris” alone and collaborated with Beyoncé on “Crazy in Love.”

Don’t ever ask permission for something that already belongs to you,” Beyoncé told the audience near the end of Saturday’s show, according to Rolling Stone. “God bless you, drive home safe, thank you for tonight! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a reality. I’m so deeply grateful.”

Attendees in the VIP section at the Las Vegas finale included Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey, TMZ reports.

Following a string of well-publicized dates in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Houston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Las Vegas, Bey’s tour came to an end.
