Following the release of his most recent album, Don’t Die Before You’re Dead, AJ Tracey has formally been named as new ambassador for cancer support charity, Maggie’s, strengthening his personal ties to the cancer support organisation.
“Watching my mum go through cancer was incredibly tough, but Maggie’s made a huge difference for her,” AJ said while reflecting on his mother’s cancer fight.
He continued ”I’m honoured to be named an ambassador and want to help spread the word about the incredible work they do. With 24 centres around the UK, I want anyone affected by cancer—whether you’re living with it or supporting someone who is—to know that Maggie’s is there for you.”
Maggie’s offers cancer patients and their loved ones free, professional-led support, addressing everything from treatment choices and mental health to financial issues.
By mentioning Maggie’s in his very personal song “3rd Time Lucky,” which pays homage to his mother’s journey and expresses gratitude to the organisation that helped her along the way, AJ Tracey has already promoted the charity through his music.
