Asap Rocky is making waves with not one, but two exceptional compositions that highlight his versatility on Spike Lee’s ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ soundtrack.
Rocky delivered two tracks that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled: “Both Eyes Closed,” where his poetic swagger meets melancholy music, and “Trunks,” an electric track that pulses through the neo-noir crime atmosphere of the film.
However, it doesn’t end there. Rocky plays Yung Felon, the aspirational rapper at the centre of the film’s main clash with Denzel Washington’s character. Rocky also appears in the film.
Rocky’s two contributions serve as the album’s cornerstone and confirm that he is unquestionably a unique presence in Lee’s cinematic universe as an actor and musician.
