The BET Awards, an awards scheme for honouring black entertainment and excellence in music, sports, film, and television, is in its 26th year and promises to be a classic night on the 28th of June, 2026, in Los Angeles.

Amongst the African artists to be nominated is Tems, who has had notable wins concerning global awards, and this time around, she leads the Nigerian and African contingent with three solid nominations, that is, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, BET HER Award for first, and Viewers’ Choice for her collaboration with Dave on Raindance.

Tems’ curation of the best of songs, her philosophy of self-belief, and amplifying the voices of other young ladies have taken her far. For this reason, she has been honoured with awards from the BET, Grammy, iHeart, Billboard, amongst others.
