Drake Officially Cancels Postponed Australia and New Zealand Tour Dates

The remaining concerts have been formally cancelled, five months after Drake abruptly ended his tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour, which was first announced in November 2024, was the rapper’s first trip to Oceania since 2017. The 16-date sold-out tour, which began in Australia in February 2025 with many events in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, was scheduled to conclude in early March with more shows in Sydney and Brisbane and two in Auckland, New Zealand.

On February 26, however, it was revealed that a “scheduling conflict” had forced the postponement of the remaining dates.

Drake’s managers at the time stated in a statement that the artist’s team was “actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” but no other information was provided.

After months of uncertainty regarding the future of these unconfirmed performances, ticket buyers were informed on Tuesday, July 29 (Australia time) that the rest of the tour had been formally cancelled.

“Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible,” a statement from Live Nation Australia read. “Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits.”

As part of his $ome $pecial $hows 4 U.K. tour with PartyNextDoor, Drake made a comeback to the stage earlier this month to promote their joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

The journey started with a run of performances in England and will continue with further dates in Europe through the end of September. Due to a “unseen ferry schedule,” a scheduled concert in Manchester on Monday, July 28 had to be rescheduled until August 5.

The 6 God’s kindness to his fans during his prior series of Australian engagements also garnered media attention. In the past, he offered $20,000 to two followers in Perth, $45,000 to several OVO devotees in Melbourne, and $30,000 to a pregnant fan in Sydney who was raised to VIP status before the birth of her child.

He also pledged to handle a fan’s mother’s cancer treatment while in Brisbane as part of the tour’s last performances.

Drake debuted a new “alter ego” called Anita Max Win in his December 2023 livestream on Kick, which went viral and inspired the name of the Anita Max Win Tour. The term is a light-hearted parody of the gambling expression “I need a max win,” which alludes to achieving the highest possible payoff on a slot machine.
