Amaarae has dropped a cinematic video for ‘Fineshyt’- a standout track from her newly released third studio album ‘Black Star].

The video, which was filmed in Ghana, shows a captivating young lady gliding over vibrant city streets and club scenes. Speaking about the single to Universal Music Canada, Amaarae revealed that the song evokes the vibe of late 90s dance hits.

“I remember being little girl in Ghana hearing ‘Believe by Cher and immediately being entranced… ‘Fineshyt’ is ‘Believe’s’ bad ass play cousin or maybe it’s evil twin sister!,” said the singer.

Amaarae asserts her status as pop’s brave genre-blender with “Black Star,” which skilfully blends Afrobeats, house grooves, techno sharpness, and mesmerising vocals.
