Tyler, the Creator Features Nia Long, Lauren London and More as Love Interests in “Darling, I” Video

There are a tonne of girlfriends in Tyler, the Creator’s latest music video for “Darling, I.”

On Tuesday, August 19, over a year after the release of his eighth studio album, Chromakopia, Tyler shocked fans by releasing a music video for the song “Darling, I.” Willow Smith, an alternative musician, and actors Nia Long, Lauren London, Chase Infiniti, and Ayo Edebiri co-star as his romantic interests. Teezo Touchdown, the song’s featured performer, also makes an appearance.

Long goes in to kiss Tyler’s cheek in the video’s most startling moment, but instead licks him.

By the end of the video, Tyler gives each of the women a bloodied, living heart, which they all find repulsive, despite his refusal to commit to just one.

On Instagram, the two-time Grammy winner dedicated “Darling, I” to “all the lovers out there.”

Tyler is now on the international leg of the Chromakopia World Tour, despite the fact that his new album, Don’t Tap the Glass, was released earlier this month. Tyler recently stated that after his ninth LP, he “wanted to be silly again” in an interview on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music.

Chromakopia was so…I’m not saying it’s the most mature, deep shot,” Tyler told Lowe around the five-minute mark of the video below. “But whether it’s me talking about my relationship with my hair and how that’s affected me, or me almost being a father last year, or the relationship that I have with my father now, just so many things that I decided to dive deep into. After the weight of that got off, I just wanted to be silly again.”
