Willy Chavarria and Adidas originals have teamed up to unveil their much-anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 collaboration. Scheduled to go out on May 8th, the collection pays homage to Chicano culture, infused with the designer’s signature oversized silhouettes and bold aesthetic, all while celebrating Adidas’s deep, often untold, connection to this community.
Shot in Los Angeles by photographer Carlos Jaramillo, the campaign features Candace Parker, Skyy Clark, and Alejandro Speitzer.
eadlining the footwear offerings are reimagined versions of the classic 1978 Adidas Jabbar basketball shoe, originally designed for the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Chavarria Jabbar Low stays relatively true to the original form, featuring contrasting red stripes and a cream sole, along with a distinctive fold-over tongue adorned with a Chavarria woven label. The Chavarria Jabbar Dress, on the other hand, elevates the silhouette with a sleek leather construction, a pointed toe, gold branding, and leather laces, a smarter take on the iconic sneaker.
