With the BAPE × STRAY KIDS collection, the well-known K-pop boy band Stray Kids collaborates with BAPE, an icon of Japanese street fashion for over 30 years, to bring the unstoppable energy of K-pop into the realm of streetwear.
The group, which was founded by JYP Entertainment in 2017, is notable for creating and producing original music that combines electronic, hip-hop, and K-pop elements. In honour of the release of their fourth studio album Karma and their world tour, they have collaborated with BAPE to produce a limited-edition collection that encourages fans to celebrate their uniqueness and exhibit their love of music and streetwear.
The partnership reimagines BAPE’s famous Shark Hoodie; each Stray Kids member chose three stitched letters and their favourite colour camo to showcase their unique personalities. Additionally, the members hand-selected matching camo prints for the college t-shirt. Perched above the Ape Head emblem, the original Skzoo figures are depicted in BAPE’s distinctive visual style. In contrast, the Baby Milo Tee features renowned cartoon IPs and well-known artists alongside the adored character Baby Milo.
The brand updated its iconic BAPE STA trainers as part of the partnership, releasing a limited edition with vibrant colour camo patterns influenced by each of the group’s eight members.
Beginning on October 29, the BAPE × STRAY KIDS collection will be accessible through BAPE global channels and Stray Kids’ online fan shop.
