Ghanaian gospel music legend and finest female vocalist Piesie Esther has been crowned Gospel Act Of Year at the just-ended 3Music Awards.
The colourful awards ceremony was hosted by media personality Jay Foley and socialite Efia Odo on Saturday the 28th of September 2024 at the Palms Convention Center in Accra. It was a night to celebrate African music and hardworking creatives and talents on the continent.
Piesie Esther was housed in one category with Joe Mettle, Diana Antwi Hamilton, Perez Muzik, Joyce Blessing, Mabel Okyere and Evans Scott emerged victorious and took the prestigiuos award.
The songstress won the award after thrilling and entertaining patrons present at the event. Her performance and historic win were a testament to her solidified position in the gospel fraternity.
Since the release of her ‘Waye Me Yie’ breakthrough song, Piesie has been making history and setting unprecedented records from topping charts, getting multiple nominations to winning prestigious Awards. At the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards now Telecel Ghana Music Awards, she was crowned the Overall Artiste Of The Year.
Released in 2022, ‘Waye Me Yie’ which was one of the most popular songs of that year is the singer’s biggest career song.
