In an effort to promote a Fondazione Milan project that uses football to empower at-risk children in Harlem, New York City, AC Milan, and Off-White have released their third-annual, limited-edition “I SUPPORT SPORT FOR CHANGE” t-shirt, further solidifying their collaboration.
With its Soccer Program, the joint initiative, which began in 2022 and expanded from the underprivileged Gratosoglio suburb of Milan to the Dandora and Korogocho slums of Nairobi in 2024, is now in the Big Apple at Success Academy Charter Schools.
Since 2006, the initiative has provided kids with the chance to play soccer and incorporate it into their school schedules, irrespective of their socioeconomic situation or background. At the moment, it consists of 450 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15, a mix of genders and ethnicities from charter schools in the participating neighborhoods, with 85% coming from low-income households.
The program’s overall goal is to support the positive and inclusive expansion of soccer in the US in addition to encouraging personal improvement. The program’s support from AC Milan and Off-White demonstrates their mutual faith in the ability of sport to bring about constructive change on a global scale.
AC Milan and Off-White will release a third-annual, limited-edition “I SUPPORT SPORT FOR CHANGE” t-shirt to highlight the partnership, which was commemorated on March 21 with a special activation event that included a mini-tournament at a Success Academy school in Harlem North Central. With a hybrid Off-White logo that features “New York” in characteristic script beneath the center collar, the new design keeps the distinguishing features of earlier iterations, such as the bold, red text that reads, “I SUPPORT SPORT FOR CHANGE,” across the chest. The famous AC Milan diavolo mascot is seen on the back dribbling a ball through a graphic “O” while holding a pitchfork that features a unique twist on the Off-White Arrow emblem.
A portion of the t-shirt’s sales will go back to Fondazione Milan to support their Sport for Change initiative, which has been using sport’s good ideals and ability to combat poverty and educational disparity for more than 20 years while encouraging young people to discover their own abilities.
Through initiatives in more than 20 countries worldwide, including Off-White’s 2023 partnership with Fondazione Milan to convert a small sports center at Maria Madre della Chiesa Parish in the underprivileged Milan suburb of Gratosoglio into a multipurpose youth sports space, Fondazione Milan simultaneously fosters social inclusion and integration in both suburban and urban neighborhoods. The relationship, which is based in the Dandora and Korogocho slums of Nairobi, was put into effect in 2024 in collaboration with Alice for Children, an 18-year-old non-profit organization that supports mothers and children in Kenya who are in danger.
