Nigerian musicians Burna Boy, Darkoo, Mr Eazi and Obongjayar have been featured on the forthcoming and much-anticipated F-1 movie album.
Formular-1 shared the star-studded tracklist of the album on their X [formerly Twitter] account and are Burna Boy, Darkoo, Mr Eazi and Obongjayar are the only Nigerian stars to be featured on the project.
Other musicians on the album include global superstars including Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Sexxy Red, Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, Rose of BLACKPINK, Myke Towers, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, PAWSA, etc.
Scheduled to be released on the 27th of June 2025, the upcoming project houses 18 well-crafted songs by some of the world’s most talented artists from different genres.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the F-1 movie hitting the theaters on the 25th of June is an American sports action drama film that revolves around the Formular One World Championship. It stars Bradd Pitt. Other cast include Damson Edris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Javier Bardem and real-life Formular One drivers and teams.
The movie follows Sonny Hayes, a Formular One driver who suffered a horrible car crash in the 1990’s, forcing him to retire. He is contacted by his friend and Formular One team owner Ruben to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua ”Noah” Pearce for the Apex Grand Prix team [APXGP].
Scheduled to be released to theaters on June 25, 2025, internationally, and June 27 in the United States and Canada, the movie will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and later be made available on Apple TV+.
F-1 Champion Lewis Hamilton who is a producer on the film is scheduled to appear in the film.
