Nigerian Afrobeat multi-instrumentalist Made Kuti has released “Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From,” his eagerly awaited second studio album.

The 13-track project features creative Afrobeat sounds, introspective introspection, and daring social satire.

Songs like “Life As We Know It,” “Take It All In Before The Lights Go Out,” and “I Won’t Run Away” effectively combine layered music, rolling percussion, and vivid horns.

Made being a composer, singer, and arranger who creates an own musical identity while carrying on the potent Kuti tradition. His father, the renowned Afrobeat pioneer Femi Kuti, also makes a guest appearance on the record, which furthers the intergenerational conversation.
