Ghanaian superstar Amaarae is geared up for the completion of her trilogy with her third studio album ‘Black Star’.

Slated for release on the 8th of August, the upcoming album highlights her fearless creativity and bold sonic direction.

‘S.M.O’, a seductive blend of 1980s Ghanaian highlife, Detroit club bass, zouk, and shimmering steel-pan rhythms has already been released as a lead single for the 12-track project.

Speaking on the upcoming LP in an interview with Rolling Stone, she said “My soul can’t rest until I feel like I’ve made a project that resonates in a really huge way globally. The last frontier is to make both a commercial and critical success.”
