After going viral with his 2015’s ‘Shake Body’ track, Nigerian singer and record producer Skales is set to release a new album ‘Martina’s Son’.

After a decade of its official release, ‘Shake Body’ gained much traction and amassed millions of streams on several platforms when Barcelona’s young sensation Lamine Yamal danced to it on TikTok.

Capitalizing on the unexpected virality of the song, Skales honored the Barcelona star with a new track titled ‘Dance Like Lamine Yamal’.

Scheduled for release on August 6, “Martina’s Son,” the deeply personal project pays tribute to his mother and reflects his journey from Kaduna to international acclaim.

The upcoming album promises to be a heartfelt exploration of Skales’ roots and experiences, blending Afrobeat rhythms with introspective lyrics that honor his mother’s influence on his life and music.

He has yet to unveils a cover art, official tracklist and features. Fans are anticipating further updates on the release.
