Over the last 6 months, Thakzin has been showcasing The Road is Long during his extensive tours across Africa, Europe and the UK. Due to popular demand, he has decided to end the year by sharing the track with his fans for Christmas.
Thakzin is closing 2024 with an overwhelming pouring of accolades promising him as “one to watch in 2025” : Mixmag UK selected him as one of the “producers of the year”, Beatport elected him as one of the main artists of their “Beatport Next” 2025 program and Traxsource handpicked him at #3 of the 350 artists list of “trending artists of 2024”.
What’s Next for Thakzin?
The Road is Long will feature on Thakzin’s highly anticipated debut album, Gods Window Pt1, set to roll out in Spring 2025 via Platoon. It promises to take fans on a sonic journey through beauty and culturally defining productions, showcasing an impressive cast of collaborators and influences.
Currently, Thakzin is touring across South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Nigeria before celebrating New Year’s in Kenya. 2025 will start with a bang with supporting Kaytranada in Johannesburg in early January. He will resume his International gigs schedule in February with dates in Germany, UK, Canada & Malta already announced.
On the release front, a special single on Stay True Sounds and a killer remix of Desiree’s forthcoming single will both come out in February, while Thakzin also remixed UK sensation Anushka, as part of their new album coming on BBE in Spring 2025.
